Julie & Steven

Julie and Steven’s winter wedding was a beautiful celebration of a beautiful couple. We’re so grateful that they decided to return to Julie’s hometown to be joined as husband and wife. They currently live in San Diego, California because Steven is stationed there in the Navy. The couple were married at Hunter Valley Farm in Knoxville, Tennessee and every detail of the day was just perfect. The rain stopped, it wasn’t too cold, and they were able to have the outdoor wedding that Julie had dreamed of.

Before the ceremony, Julie and Steven read handwritten letters from one another which was only a small glimpse of the emotional reading of their vows during their ceremony. The love between them was evident in their emotions and excitement to begin their new life together.

The couple chose to braid a cord of three strands during their ceremony in order to demonstrate and always remember that in order to have a happy, successful marriage, they must not only rely on each other but on God as well. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:12:

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

After their ceremony, all of their family and friends headed inside for dinner, drinks, and dancing. The food, catered by Bradford Catered Events, was delectable. Everyone danced the night away in celebration of the new Mr. and Mrs. Bretz before a sparkler exit, sending them off into marital bliss.
